Frames
There once was a page that used frames.
It enraged all the surfers to flames.
The site was annoying;
It was chopped-up and cloying,
and most thought the designer quite lame.

They are messy, annoying, fill your screen with pesky scroll bars, cause cancer and well, they just hurt my eyes!

Frames are the Synthesis of the Stupid Icon Clicker User. I Hate Them. Gotta Learn Something, Fella.
Meshuggah

Frames are a pain in the ass for people like me with slow browsers, not to mention the fact that it makes those of us who don't have a clue how to use 'em look bad! ;)
Aurora-Kira

Frames suck crack whore ass!
swingster

You dont need frames to make good html-sites
Norbert Brand

I love frames. It gave me some useful things. It gave me a ready menu. And, without no sick for table, it stick on me. So, fuck for your anti-frame campaign. Frames don't make your browser slow. Your computer is the real slow. So, change your computer or break it. SUCKER !!!!!!
Eat your anti-frame gifs and anything you have. Make it framed.
I Love Frames

Boo

They SLOW down your modem, are usually programed WRONG, are just about as annoying as BEANIE BABIES, and to top it all off THEY KILLED KENNY! Those bastards!
Kimberly

Frames totally suck! Anyone who likes frames (UGH!) has a negative IQ! Frames (UGH!) chop up the browser window into tiny sections, idiots who use frames (UGH!) don't target externel links to _top, thus making decent sites appear in their horrible frames. Also, normal people (read: those who use 640x480 resolution) won't be able to access most of the site if the navbar has no scrolling. Some idiots who don't use _top use _blank for external links which is worse! Links appearing in another window is a worse feature than frames! Frames load slower than decent pages, and that's especially bad for those with slow connections (like me, who only has a 26.4k connection). Also, when you click on a link in a frames page, you can't see the status of the load (such as "Contacting host" or "Host contacted, waiting for reply")! For some reason, the status bar is blank when you click on a link in a frames (UGH!) page!

LOL

They might try to frame YOU someday (in many ways)
Dimitris Labaditis

I had design a site full of frames, it was like I needed them, like my stuff would not work without them. But then I had a very bad dream about scrolling frames, and I vowed never to use them again. That was one year ago and now my site is frame free. Praise God!!!
Robert G. Fickel Jr.
frame are for buttheads!

Kimberly Weaver

Bells and whistles which nobody needs.
Rudi Albrecht

In Prison speak
You framers best debrief, or I'm gonna peel some cap
Aisling Donnal

i hate how people try to appeal their websites to people who dont like frames. I think it is waste of time to make a "non-frames" version of a site
Gregory Ley

Frames are needless piles that fuck up your entire life.
Juliana Penman

I have never liked frames. They make web
surfing slow and they are just plain ugly.
I commend you on your stand against the
dreaded frame!!
Paul Glass

Frames are a bad design tool, not only from the user end, but the server end. If you
have frames, then every hit to your homepage is also a hit to each frame, multiplying each hit by (1+the number of frames you have.) This sucks bandwidth and disk space on the server.
From a user end, Frames clutter the screen. I can't tell you how many times I've had to use the scroll bar at the bottom of my browser to read text because the designer had a 36 inch screen and didn't realize that people with wimpy little 17 inch screens wouldn't be able to see the whole line because of their ad-spam frames.
In short, Death to Frames. Death to people who use Frames. Death to whatever moron thought them up.

1. Ewww! 2. It's really stupid to see the NOFRAMES section only show a "get a newer browser you lamer" kind of link. And especially amusing when I visit in my modern version of Lynx (2.7.1 rocks!) ... which does USEMAPs, ISMAPs, I can view an image if I feel like (with a helper app), and yes, frames if I must. 3. Did you know that Lynx viewers who can see frames, see the names of your frames? Sometimes the names are even lamer than the "you don't have IE 4 or NS" logo. 4. Use a table. They work on more browsers. You can even use tricks to put stuff slightly offscreen, if you feel like. It's really not that hard to make tables text-viewer clean, actually *using* P tags in a correct fashion is enough. 5. I love graphics, yes I do, but I love speedy downloads more. Frames put browsing back in the tricycles-with-training-wheels stage as far as infobahn speed goes. (Unless you're in lynx where it doesn't waste its time on the heuristics. That's really why it's slow you know... el snoozo CPU calculateswhat size to allow a frame, *THEN* it bothers to get that HTML file, then it calculates the space for the next... etc... and basically, the whole thing doesn't display until everything arrives! Yuuuuuck, ptuui.
Heather Stern
For a navbar? Get a table!

Frames are awfull, even if my Browsers dont crash while I get framed off, since I hate Windooze too.
Peer Stritzinger

c'est nul, c'est nul et c'est nul !!!!!!!!

Frames accomplish nothing but taking up our time and scattering whatever we are trying to find into different sections of the page. I HATE FRAMES
Tyler Catlin

I have the worst time just keeping NETSCAPE open -- and when I encounter a site with those darn frames.... EVERYTHING collapses on me!!!! I'm just inherently browser un-friendly! Usually I have at least three netscape windows open -- with frames, that can end up being six or seven! They are confusing and space wasting and time consuming for NO GOOD REASON!!!!
I hate 'em!!!!
