I once got trapped in frames so bad that I had to chew my own browser into to get out.
I still have nightmares, and I'm thinking of pursuing legal council for damages. Since then I don't click
around much anymore. Hell, everytime I click anything, I break out in a cold sweat wondering if I'm ever gonna be able to get back or not.
Usually, If a page takes too long to load, I figure it's probably frames, and I hit the back button really fast.
Some of those sites now days that have those frames/no frames entrance pages.. they really confuse me. It's like having a balls racked/balls not racked entrance.
I mean, who the hell would pick the frames?
I would like to continue with my thoughts, but I'm late for therapy.

done frames site that will let you back out
or doesn't crash your browser is like hitting
the lottery. Their one in a million, in my
opinion 99% of the time all they do is detract
from what might have been a really good site,
but you can't see it all so it doesn't matter.

In addition to the reasons that your club home page gives, frames cause my Netscape 2.0 running in Windows 3.1 to crash (GPF) when I try to go to another URL.

Some of us are resisting Windows95, and can't run higher versions of Netscape (and MS Internet Explorer is lame).

What CAN be said about frames? They're a lazy
person's tool to get around a web page, and
therefore only lazy people like them. How can
anyone think it's worthwhile to ugly-up a web
page just so they won't have to use the
"back" button?

They take up a lot of room and on a lot of sites when you go to hit the back button you go to the previous page and not the previous frame! It is very annoying!

on pictures, make structures, and so on, but they

I don't really have a big screen. Just an ordinary 15-inch and I can only see
half the page sometimes. Worse is when some of the words are blocked
by the frames or when you can't move the frames. The movable ones ain't
so bad but the ones that can't drive me kinda nuts. Some of my friends have them
but well... it's their page. Nice pages but I really don't like frames. My
webpage is totally Frame-free. :)
