Final Results: Replacement For Cool
There is none. Last month visitors were invited to suggest a replacement for this tragically overused word. The field of suggestions was narrowed down to a final three, Snarly, which received 16%, Bitchin', 14% and Splendiloquent, which fared the best, capturing 28% of the vote. In the end, 40% of the polltakers at wwwVOice still think that "Cool" is irreplaceable. This of course blows all the plans we had for the "wwwVOice Air-Conditioned Site of the Day".
Software Rip-OffThe most recent poll at wwwVOice asked "When you buy some new software on CD-ROM and it comes in a plastic baggie instead of a jewel case, how do you feel?" Gee, big surprise here! 87% of the voters said; "Let's see, I just paid 150 bucks and some dumbass corporation doesn't have the courtesy to include a 50 cent plastic case. Gee... how do YOU think I feel?" or they felt just plain "gypped". Three voters did say that it doesn't bother them, nice to see so many Macromedia executives out and voting.
